Helen Nguyen

Founder
MSK & Orthopaedic Physiotherapist

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy - Curtin University, Western Australia

Experience:

Helen is an Australian born and raised Musculoskeletal Physio in Singapore. Her strong conviction to understand the cause of a problem and not just treat the symptoms, has made Helen a leading clinician within Singapore.

Since graduating in 2015, Helen has worked with post surgical patients in both an acute hospital setting and in private practice. She’s had valuable experience working with Australian soccer and football (WAFL) teams, worked alongside the Head Physio of the Singapore Netball team in 2018, and was the on-site physiotherapist for Team Fiji in the 2019 Netball Test Series, Singapore Powerlifting National Competition (2021-2024) and Singapore Weightlifting National and International Competition in 2023. As a result of her work experiences, Helen has a developed a strong interest in sports rehab and post-operative rehab (particularly knee injuries).

Helen is experienced in a wide range of manual therapies (Dry Needling, Taping, Mulligan’s), and compliments her treatments with strength and conditioning programs (Helen competed in and was awarded the best female powerlifter in the Australian Powerlifting Union State Competition 2018), Pilates (Polestar trained) and is Australian Strength and Conditioning (ASCA Level 1) certified.

She excels as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, owing to her passion and deep understanding of functional biomechanics; allowing her to create targeted exercises to promote injury recovery and performance.

Hui-Lin Chua

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physiotherapy - Singapore Institute of Technology - Trinity College Dublin

Experience:

Hui Lin is a Singapore born and raised Physio. Having danced since a young age, she naturally gravitated towards performing arts rehab. 

Upon graduation, Hui Lin gained 4 years of experience in various hospital rotations such as orthopedics, cardiopulmonary, and outpatient sports rehab. As a dance physiotherapist, Hui Lin has a passion for rehabilitation and injury prevention for performing artists, with special interest in the dance population. Her background in dance, combined with her focus on movement analysis and strength-based rehab, allows her to deliver the best care to her clients. She seeks to equip performers with the knowledge and skill set to hone their craft and prolong their careers. 

Hui Lin is certified in Polestar Pilates (Rehab), and GEMT Dry Needling (level 2). She holds a Grade 12 in Beijing Dance Academy Chinese Dance Graded Examination Syllabus. 

Outside of regular dance classes, she also has training in aerial silks, and pole dance, which all help to deepen her understanding of each arts’ demand on the human body. 

Hui Lin is currently involved in physiotherapy coverage for NAFA Dance students.

Tian Jie (TJ) Chen

MSK & Powerlifting Physiotherapist

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physiotherapy - Singapore Institute of Technology - Trinity College Dublin

Experience:

TJ is a Registered Physiotherapist with a joint degree from the Singapore Institute of Technology and Trinity College of Dublin (SIT-TCD). Since graduating, TJ underwent further training in an acute hospital setting where he managed a wide range of conditions across all ages including those with neurological conditions and various musculoskeletal injuries, as well as those undergoing post-operative recovery.

As a powerlifter, TJ strongly believes that strength training will make a positive impact on a person’s overall health and happiness. With this in mind, he leverages his knowledge and experience to help clients understand their injuries and achieve their physical/sporting goals. He also has a keen eye for detail and enjoys game-day coaching during powerlifting meets. Outside of work, TJ can typically be found in the gym or taking a hike. He also loves to indulge in a cup of coffee any chance he gets.

Nicholas Ho (Nick)

MSK & Paddle Sports Physiotherapist

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physiotherapy - Singapore Institute of Technology - Trinity College Dublin

Experience:

Nick is a registered Physiotherapist with a joint degree from Singapore Institute of Technology and Trinity College of Dublin (SIT-TCD). Upon graduating, Nick started his physiotherapist journey in Singapore General Hospital managing a variety of conditions across all ages. He has experience in treating cardiopulmonary conditions, acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and post-operative sports rehabilitation. Nick was part of the outpatient sports and shoulder team in SGH, managing both conservative and surgical treatments of different conditions.

Having been participating in paddling-water-sports for more than half of his life, Nick has vast experience in various disciplines such as canoe-kayak sprint and marathon racing; ocean paddling and dragonboating. Nick understands the physical demands of the sport and has deep knowledge of the various injuries associated with paddling. His love for sports drives him to ensure everyone can stay healthy to pursue their sporting goals for as long as possible.

Nick continues to pursue his passion in ocean racing by taking part in both local and overseas competitions. He also volunteers as surfski rookie coach and youth coach. His hobbies also include collecting LEGO and road cycling. 

As a massive Star Wars fan, Nick lives by the motto: Do or do not, there is no try.
