Helen Nguyen
Knee | Orthopaedic Rehab
Helen is the founder of Activex Physio and an Australian-trained musculoskeletal physiotherapist with over 10 years of clinical experience. She graduated in 2015 from Curtin University in Western Australia and specializes in knee injuries and post-operative rehabilitation. She is known for getting to the root of a problem rather than treating symptoms alone.
Her clinical experience covers acute hospital rehabilitation, private practice, and elite sport. She has worked with Australian soccer and WAFL teams, the Singapore national netball team, and Team Fiji during the 2019 Netball Test Series. Today, she and the Activex team are the official physiotherapy partner of Powerlifting Singapore, providing on-site support at competitions and sporting events across a range of disciplines. That experience is why she treats the way she does, methodically and always with a plan.
That thoroughness is most visible in how she runs a treatment plan. You leave your first session with a clear diagnosis, a structured rehab plan, and a timeline for what comes next, so you're never guessing where the rehab is heading. If you're recovering from surgery, managing a stubborn knee injury, or working your way back to sport after pregnancy, Helen will map out exactly how to get you there.
Helen has completed the APA Introductory Women's Health Physiotherapy Level 1 and APA Women's Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Level 1 courses, the first steps in building the next arm of her practice: bringing women's health physiotherapy to the athletic population. She also holds an ASCA Level 1 Strength and Conditioning certification and is Polestar Pilates trained. An ex-competitive powerlifter, she won best female lifter at the 2018 APU State Competition in Australia. In 2025, she was invited to present on the Standard Chartered Marathon specialist panel, and regularly runs workshops and talks for corporate teams, gyms, and local sporting events.
Her approach blends hands-on therapy with structured strength programming, aimed at getting you back stronger than you were before the injury.
When she's not in the clinic, you'll find her being outnumbered by her two young kids or at the gym working on her Olympic weightlifting.
