Ivan Tam

Ivan is a Singaporean musculoskeletal physiotherapist with over 9 years of clinical experience across hospital and elite sport settings. He graduated with First Class Honours and the University Medal from The University of Sydney. He specializes in foot and ankle conditions, lower limb biomechanics, low back pain, and return-to-sport rehabilitation.

Ivan built his foundation at Changi General Hospital, where he worked across acute care, outpatient rehabilitation, and sports physiotherapy. As MSK Lead, he managed complex caseloads from acute injuries to chronic pain conditions, led the hospital's Ankle Service Team, and developed clinical practice guidelines and rehabilitation protocols for foot and ankle surgeries.

How Ivan structures rehabilitation is the difference. Nothing goes into your program without a reason, and nothing moves forward until you understand why it's there. If you're a runner whose foot pain keeps coming back, a weekend athlete recovering from ankle surgery, or someone with low back pain that hasn't responded to general treatment, Ivan will lay out exactly what needs to happen and hold you to the plan.

Ivan has served as Team Physiotherapist for the Singapore National Men's Water Polo Team since 2019, supporting athletes through the Southeast Asian Games, Asian Games, and the 2025 World Aquatics Championships. He holds certifications in GEMt Dry Needling, DMA Clinical Pilates, and the McKenzie Method, and has presented research at the International Ankle Symposium and the Singapore International Physiotherapy Symposium. He is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

His approach is methodical and direct. The goal is to get you back to the activities that matter, moving well and confident you can stay there.

Away from the clinic, Ivan plays volleyball and takes his coffee seriously.
