Strength Sports | Lifting Injuries

TJ is a Singapore-born physiotherapist and strength sports specialist. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physiotherapy from SIT-Trinity College Dublin and specializes in strength sports injuries, lower back injuries, and powerlifting technique.

He built his foundation at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, managing everything from neurological conditions to orthopedic injuries across inpatient and outpatient settings. That breadth of early clinical experience shaped how he treats today. His programs are structured and grounded in how the body works under load, but he adapts them to the person in front of him rather than the textbook.

TJ's real work starts after the pain settles. He builds structured strength and rehab programs for his patients, using powerlifting biomechanics and loading principles to take you from pain-free to performing. If you're a lifter dealing with an injury or someone who wants to get stronger without breaking down, TJ speaks your language.

He was invited to serve as team physiotherapist for the Singapore weightlifting team at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, having previously covered the 2025 World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships and the 2024 FISU World Championships Powerlifting. An avid powerlifter himself, TJ regularly coaches at competitions and has a sharp eye for technique breakdowns in the squat, bench, and deadlift. He also holds an NCSF Certified Personal Trainer qualification.

He believes strength training makes people healthier, more functional, and happier, and his treatment is built around that.

When he's not treating patients or training, you'll probably find him on a trail somewhere or hunting down a good coffee.
